Siegfried & Roy’s Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat at The Mirage is an exotic, enchanting and wondrous world where you come face to face with white lions, the Royal White Tigers of Nevada, panthers, leopards, Atlantic bottlenose dolphins and the latest addition – an adorable leopard cub named Java.

Siegfried & Roy opened the Secret Garden in 1997 to be a haven that represents what is possible when humans and animals work, play and share lives together.  Most recently, The Mirage and Siegfried & Roy have welcomed Java, their newest addition to Siegfried & Roy’s Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat.

Java is an adorable male leopard cub born on Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2008 and is the offspring of two leopards living in the habitat, Asabi and Mu-gamba.  This is the pair’s second litter. The previous litter still resides in the Secret Garden.  Baby leopards weigh approximately one pound at birth; males can reach up to 200 pounds at maturity, with a life span of 15-20 years.  After nursing from his mother for the first three weeks of life, Java was switched over to bottle feeding and is currently being cared for in the Secret Garden nursery.
