The Beatles LOVE will capture your imagination.

One likely expects incredible physical feats to accompany any Cirque du Soleil production. But what might one see at a show named after the greatest rock group of all time?  The Beatles LOVE at The Mirage was described best by Show Director Dominic Champagne when he dubbed it a, “rock ‘n’ roll poem”. And this rock ‘n’ roll poem is celebrating five years of success in Las Vegas on June 8th, 2011. This milestone is no small feat in such a volatile and ever-changing city of entertainment.

Born from a personal friendship and mutual admiration between the late George Harrison and Cirque founder Guy Laliberté, LOVE brings the magic of Cirque du Soleil together with the spirit and passion behind the most beloved rock group of all time to create a vivid, intimate and powerful entertainment experience.

Audience members experience a journey, via legendary music, acrobatics, dance and visual effects, through the zeitgeist of the 60’s (with a definite psychedelic twinge). Drawn from the poetry of the lyrics from the master tapes at Abbey Road studios, the show explores the content of the songs as interpreted by innovative performances. By no means is The Beatles LOVE a greatest hits compilation. Although the show does take viewers through the history of The Beatles, lesser-known songs are used to capture the energy and emotions of events and time periods.

Smash hits, such as “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds”, “All You Need is Love”, “Help”, “I Want to Hold Your Hand”, and more, are all utilized during the production. The show even features (likely) never-before seen or heard components that will leave the audience with a feeling of nostalgia and timelessness. The soundtrack to The Beatles LOVE even won two Grammy Awards for Motion Picture, Television or other Visual Medium and Best Surround Sound Album at the 50th Annual Grammy Awards.

The Beatles LOVE shows Thursday through Monday at 7 and 9:30 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 and 9 p.m. nightly. The show is dark on Tuesday and Wednesday. Tickets are priced at $69, $93.50, $99, $130 and $150 (VIP) + tax & fee. The Summer of Cirque promotion allows for tickets starting from 2 for $100 on select seats.
